National Library of Tashkent - Uzbekistan

In March 2011 the F.H.L. Group took over another big project in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the National Library of the country, which will be most probably finished by the summer of 2011. The exterior facing is in PRINOS THASSOS marble of which the group will elaborate in total 10 marble columns, the 4 with a height of 14,50m and the rest 6 with a height of 11,78m. All the columns have in their pillar channels and at the capitals muslim designs. The machinery used are wire saws, big lathes, OMEC, WATERJETS, laps etc. Except the columns the company will elaborate also the marble parapets of two different types (2.90m height and 1m width), 5.200m2 of exterior cladding, as well as the marble cladding of the in total 89 windows and the marble arcade which will adorn the entrance.
